THE MICHIGAN LUPUS FOUNDATION HOSTS AN EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM IN ANN ARBOR
(Michigan – February 8, 2025) – The Michigan Lupus Foundation held an educational lupus symposium on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to educate those with lupus, friends and family members and medical professionals.
Presentations included: “Plaquenil for the Lupus Patient” by Dr. Zeinab Saleh, rheumatologist, University of Michigan Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology; “Cutaneous Manifestations of Connective Tissue Diseases & the Role of a Dermatologist in Treating Lupus” by Dr. David Fivenson, dermatologist, Fivenson Dermatology; “Self-Care for Lupus Pain and Related Symptoms” by Dr. Rachel Bergmans, University of Michigan Chronic Pain & Fatigue Research Center; and “Psychedelics and Lupus Research” by Dr. Jacob S. Aday, University of Michigan, Department of Anesthesiology, Chronic Pain & Fatigue Research Center, Michigan Psychedelic Center.
