Volunteer Corner
The Lupus Alliance is dependent on volunteers
to get the job done. During the year our volunteer network is involved
in several key areas which without them the mission of the Lupus
Alliance would never be accomplished. If you have an interest in
volunteer work for the alliance here are some areas that we need
your help in:
Office Assistant:
Assist with phone
calls, mailing newsletters, general office work.
Data Entry:
Work with data entry of information gathered during the year.
Phone Volunteer:
Work from your home
answering phone inquirys
Media Coordinator:
Develop relationships with media organizations and send information.
Advocacy Volunteer:
Establish an on-going
rapport with government offices.
Chapter Development:
Coordinate new chapters and develop stratigies for growth
Special Events:
Work on committee
for walks, health fairs, workshops, etc.
Community
Resource:
Develop list of contacts for assistance in your county.
Workshop Coordinator:
Coordinate this event
in your area.
Speaker Engagements:
Coordinate speaking
events with community organizations.
Volunteer
Speaker:
Introduce the needs
of people with lupus to community organizations.
Friends of
Lupus:
Direct Mail campaign
designed to introduce people to lupus.
In addition to the above positions we are always
in need of volunteers to organize special fund raising events throughout
the course of the year. If you are interested in helping the foundation
spread awareness about lupus please contact us.
